Hoya aff. Acicularis (sp. Labi)

A rare and distinctive Hoya closely allied to Hoya acicularis, collected from the Labi region and prized among enthusiasts for its uncommon presence in cultivation. The “aff.” designation reflects a close botanical affinity to acicularis without formal confirmation, adding to its intrigue as a collector’s piece. True to its acicularis relatives, it typically features narrow, needle-like leaves with a slender, elongated form quite distinct from the broader-leaved Hoyas more commonly seen.

As with many localised “sp.” finds, part of its appeal lies in the novelty of growing on and observing a plant still working its way toward fuller identification. Given time and favourable conditions, it may produce the clusters of star-shaped, waxy flowers characteristic of the genus.

Imported from Thailand. Hoyas may experience minor leaf blemishes or cosmetic imperfections during transit and acclimation. This is normal and does not affect the long-term health of the plant.
