Alocasia Maharani Gold Corm

Alocasia Maharani Gold is a striking variegated form of Alocasia ‘Maharani’ (also known as the “Grey Dragon”), featuring the same thick, heavily textured, dimpled leaves in a soft grey-green tone, now accented with vibrant golden-yellow variegation. The compact, low-growing habit combined with the plant’s dragon-scale-like texture and gold patches makes it a highly desirable and unique addition to any collection. As a variegated cultivar, it tends to grow more slowly and requires more stable conditions than the standard Maharani, including consistent warmth, high humidity, and bright, indirect light. It grows from a central corm and does best in a chunky, well-draining aroid mix with even moisture and protection from cold drafts or sudden environmental shifts. Due to its rarity and slower growth, it is best suited to experienced growers.
