Hoya sp. Papua

An intriguing and lesser-known Hoya originating from Papua New Guinea, valued by collectors for its rarity and distinctive character. The species typically produces attractive glossy foliage with a sturdy, semi-succulent texture, well adapted to the humid, tropical conditions of its native habitat. As with many “sp.” Hoyas awaiting formal identification, part of the appeal lies in its novelty and the excitement of watching an uncommon plant develop and mature.

Given time and favourable conditions, it may produce clusters of the star-shaped, waxy flowers characteristic of the genus, though its exact bloom form remains part of its mystery and charm.

Imported from Thailand. Hoyas may experience minor leaf blemishes or cosmetic imperfections during transit and acclimation. This is normal and does not affect the long-term health of the plant.
